Training
Young horses, Jumpers, and Dressage
We specialize in starting horses under saddle, improving flatwork and jumping technique by teaching horses how to carry themselves properly, starting horses over fences, and longeing, long-lining, and basic ground work for green horses. We work with horses from weanlings on up. Our boutique program ensures every horse has their own training curriculum, which moves at their pace to ensure you have a happy, talented partner for years to come. In addition to arena training, horses are hauled off-site regularly for schooling opportunities and trail rides.
Rehabilitation
On- or Off-site
Physical rehabilitation: post-surgery rehabilitation, injury rehabilitation, and return to work from time off. We have a special talent for recognizing improper movement patterns and compensation, and have a proven program for correcting these and building muscle to help your horse move better than ever. Our team of vets, body workers, and farriers have decades of rehab experience - there’s not a better rehab program in the bay area.
Behavioral/training rehabilitation: identify the root cause of behavioral or training issues, create and implement a plan to return your horse to a willing, happy partner. We enjoy working with a myriad of training issues from trailer loading to breaking negative associations to specific tasks like jumping, trail riding, or just being ridden in general.
Lessons
Limited to clients with horses in training
Lessons are aimed at teaching the rider to be effective and influence their horse in a positive way. Students are taught to ride by feel so they understand proper biomechanics in their horse - keeping their horse sounder, longer. Students begin by learning classical dressage, as that is the basis for all athletic endeavors in the horse, then continue in the discipline of their choice. Similar to the training program, lessons are tailored to the student and their horse and may include ground work, dressage, cavaletti work, or jumping.
